Shannon had always had a passion for real estate.  She spent her weekends touring open houses in the suburbs of Dallas when she was a little girl.  She made a game of guessing listing prices and was pretty good at it by the time she was 10. 

Shannon later participated in high school policy debate in Texas and intercollegiate policy debate at the University of Iowa.  She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Iowa in 1996 and graduated from the University of Iowa College of Law with Distinction in 1999.  Shannon was a real estate attorney in private practice with Bradley & Riley PC in Cedar Rapids until 2016 when she joined Hunter Companies, a design-build construction and commercial real estate development firm, as its General Counsel.

Shannon pursued her real estate license to compliment her background and experience as a real estate attorney.  Shannon focuses on commercial real estate.
